The house
We started because the shade range stopped three tones too early.
Penrova began with a specific complaint: international colour lines were formulated for cooler light and cooler skin, and the bottom third of every shade range was an afterthought. So was the wear testing — a foundation that holds for twelve hours in a European autumn has a different job in forty-two degrees and eighty percent humidity.
Every formula here is built against that second brief. Swiss precision in the lab, Indian conditions on the face. The result is a range that does not need you to adjust your expectations by lunchtime.

The barrier, read first
Nothing is applied to skin that has not been assessed. The formula is built around a barrier that is already doing its job — it is not trying to replace it.

Water, bound in place
Hyaluronic acid across three molecular weights. The large fraction holds water at the surface; the small fraction carries it down where surface hydration alone never reaches.

A film that grips, not slips
Most primers work by making the surface slick. This one makes it tacky at a microscopic scale, so the colour above has something to hold rather than something to slide on.

Pigment laid on, never in
Twice-milled particles sit in an even layer instead of collecting in texture. That is why one pass covers, and why it does not go patchy across the smile line by hour four.

Set, and still flexible
The film cures within ninety seconds and stays elastic. Skin moves roughly twenty thousand times a day — a film that sets rigid cracks, and cracking is what people mean when they say a base has slid.
